Anna Ehmen began studying ballet at the age of five. Upon graduating from high school, Anna attended Purdue University where she studied photography and dance, graduating in 2007. While at Purdue, Anna was a member of the Purdue Repertory Dance Company and performed ballet and modern dance works. Also during college, she studied extensively with Chicago National Association of Dance Masters (CNADM). CNADM provided her with the opportunity to train under some of the best choreographers in the nation from professional dance companies such as the Joffrey Ballet, Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago, Hubbard Street Dance Company, Thodos Dance, Chicago Tap Theatre, American Ballet Theatre, Lehrer Dance, Randy Duncan, Jeremy Plummer, and more.
Anna currently remains an active member of CNADM returning to Chicago each summer to participate in the teacher training school. In addition to training with CNADM, Anna attends master classes through Dance Masters of America (DMA), and has passed examinations to become a certified dance instructor in both Ballet and Modern. Anna is currently teaching and choreographing for both Dream Dance Academy and East Coast Ballet, and looks forward to sharing her passion for ballet and fitness with Dance Trance.
