Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera have been confirmed to appear at a Michael Jackson tribute concert to be held in Wales later this year. The show, which is scheduled for October 8th at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, will also include performances by Smokey Robinson, Leona Lewis, Craig David and Alien Ant Farm, who scored a hit with a rocked-up version of Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” in 2001. Further details about the show will be revealed by the late King of Pop’s mother Katherine Jackson in an interview on CNN set for August 15th.

Though Katherine Jackson – along with siblings La Toya, Tito and Jackie – are on board, some members of the Jackson family have not thrown support behind Michael Forever: The Tribute Concert. “We want to make clear that this does not reflect the position of the entire family,” Jermaine and Randy Jackson said in a joint statement last month. “While we wholeheartedly support the spirit of a tribute that honors our brother, we find it impossible to support an event that is due to take place during the criminal trial surrounding Michael’s death.”

The trial of Dr. Conrad Murray, the physician charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of Jackson, is set to begin in September and is likely to extend through October.
